Moorpark Unified School District Revenue and Competitors

Moorpark Unified School District operates eleven schools; six elementary schools, two middle schools, one comprehensive high school, a continuation high school and a middle college program. The District has strong and innovative instructional programs and an array of enrichment and extracurricular programs to meet the diverse needs and interests of the students from preschool programs to honors, Advanced Placement and college-based courses. \r\n\r\nSeven out of eight eligible District schools have been named California Distinguished Schools, one a National Blue Ribbon School, two Title I Academic Achievement awarded schools and Community High has Model Continuation High School status. Among many notable programs are two magnet preschool through 5th grade schools offering performing/visual arts and the sciences, math and technology specializations and fee-for service and sliding scale after-school enrichment and childcare. Moorpark High School has a wealth of rigorous academic courses, extracurricular and athletic programs. \r\n\r\nThe District is fortunate to be supported by a tremendous number of active volunteers and parent organizations including the Moorpark PTA Council and the Moorpark Education Foundation. The elected five member Board of Education works collaboratively with the District Administration to create an inclusive environment throughout the organization for the students, staff, parents and community to work in partnership.
