The International Training Institute (ITI) is an organization jointly sponsored by Sheet Metal Worker’s International Association (SMWIA) and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA). The ITI offers apprenticeship and advanced career training for union workers in the sheet metal industry. ITI has 160 dedicated training facilities in the United States and 20 in Canada. ITI is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia and was founded in 1971.
