What Is Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service?

MF&RS provides a wide range of emergency response and prevention services. We have 26 Fire Stations and a Marine Rescue Unit who protect and respond to the 1.4 million residents of Merseyside. Our purpose is to make Merseyside a safer, stronger and healthier community. Our Home Fire Safety Check programme is at the heart of our prevention strategy. We have fitted over 1 million free smoke detectors, giving bespoke fire safety advice and signposting at risk members of the community to partner service providers. We are a Beacon Authority for older people, early intervention (children at risk) and health inequalities.
