What Is Winston Industries?

Founded in 1969 by Winston L. Shelton, Winston Industries is a leading foodservice equipment manufacturer located in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. The company has over 150 employees and a large, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility equiped to build top quality products such as Collectramatic Fryers, CVAP Holding Cabinets, CVAP Roasting Ovens, CVAP Cook and Hold Cabinets, CVAP Steamers, Shortening Filters, and Breading Tables. Winston markets and distributes its products worldwide. Restaurants, delis, supermarkets, c-stores, schools and more have benefited from Winstons high-quality equipment. The Collectramatic Fryer, Winston's benchmark product, was originally designed for fried chicken legend, Colonel Harland Sanders. It had the muscle to cook 54 pieces of chicken in 14 minutes - eliminating Sanders' 'cookpot on the stove' method of cooking. Colonel Sanders proclaimed the fryer, " ... the best cooker ever." Soon Winston revolutionized the foodservice industry again by developing a new heat transfer method called Controlled Vapor Technology - CVAP (pronounced "see-vap"). This newly patented technology (U.S Patent number 5,494,690) is built into the CVAP equipment line. Whether cooking, re-thermalizing, holding or steaming, CVAP is well known for providing the highest food quality and yield on the market. Winston strives to continue providing the foodservice industry with innovations that exceed industry expectations.
