What Is Waltz Business Solutions?

In 1892, Frank Waltz founded Waltz Business Solutions as a typewriter repair center in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Shortly thereafter, in 1903, Waltz invents the triple typewriter for the shoe industry.  After 69 years, ownership changes hands when James and Janet Jehn purchased Waltz Business Solutions from the last remaining Waltz family member in 1961.   Over the years, an Olympia franchise was acquired to include new typewriters and calculators to the Waltz Business Solution product line.  In 1979, copiers and fax machines were added to the product offerings from Mita, Inc. (known today as Kyocera).        The move from Cincinnati, OH to Crestview Hills, KY occurred in 1997, when 15,000 square feet, start-of-the-art facility was built to keep up with the high demand for products and services.    To continue our product line growth, additional company acquisitions occurred from 1998 through 2007.  In 2007, we acquired a local Kyocera dealership and became the exclusive Kyocera dealer throughout the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati area for many years.  In 2013, we became an authorized Xerox and OKI data provider.  Just one year later, in 2014, we were awarded the TDS Service Distinction among the Top Ten Kyocera Dealers Across the Nation.  To expand on our existing product line, we incorporated a document management, document storage, and document destruction division in 2015. In 2016, Kyocera Dealer Division presented us with the Premier Dealer award.      In keeping with Frank Waltz’s tradition, Waltz Business Solutions remains a family-owned business today.  Currently four brothers own the company, which was passed on by their parents James and Janet Jehn.  We pride ourselves on our longevity, the customers we keep, and the way we do business.  This idea is incorporated into our company core values (leadership, honor, accountability, reputation, and family) which drives who we are and how we conduct ourselves in the marketplace.
