Program Philosophy and Purpose: Ventura Adult and Continuing Education (VACE) is founded on the belief that knowledge is a key element of life. Recognizing that adult learning patterns and needs must be addressed in a sensitive and responsible manner, the training programs have been designed to be comprehensive, supportive and flexible. The staff of Ventura Adult and Continuing Education is dedicated to meeting each individual student’s vocational needs and to the development of self-worth through assets building and educational opportunities. . The purpose of the Ventura Adult and Continuing Education (VACE) programs are to provide learners with every educational opportunity necessary to develop their potential regardless of age, heritage, handicapping condition, or background. Ventura Adult and Continuing Education (VACE), was again granted a six-year accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges in 2007. Furthermore, the school has been selected by the California Department of Education as a Vocational Program of Excellence.
