The Twyford CofE Academies Trust, West London, comprises Twyford CofE High School, established in 1981 (1,500 students) and William Perkin CofE High School (now in its fifth year, with 940 students). Both schools have been graded Outstanding by Ofsted and SIAMS. On 1st September 2017, Ealing Fields High School (opened 2016) became the newest school in the Twyford CofE Academies Trust family of schools. Twyford CofE High School, Acton was set up by the London Diocesan Board of Schools (LDBS) in 1981, and is one of a group of 20 LDBS schools in London. The school has an excellent reputation and was rated as Outstanding in its most recent Ofsted inspection (May 2012). It has developed specialisms in Music and Modern Foreign Languages as well as a large and highly successful Sixth Form in which Maths, Science and Computing are the largest areas. Since its inception the school has grown considerably and now admits around 950 students aged 11 to 16, and an additional 550 students to the Sixth Form. William Perkin CofE High School opened as a Free School in September 2013 with its first intake of Year 7 students, and now has five year groups (7, 8, 9, 10 and 11) and will open a Sixth Form in September 2018. The school is founded on the successful systems and approaches of Twyford CofE High School, with the principle difference that it is a distinctively Christian school with open admission criteria. The school was rated Ofsted Outstanding in June 2015, and is oversubscribed on first choice applicants. The staff community, though still small, is very positive and highly motivated. Ealing Fields High School admits 120 pupils per year. The school opened in September 2016 in temporary accommodation in Wyke Gardens and hopes to move into the permanent site for the school, Place House on Little Ealing Lane, in 2019. The Trust has Department for Education approval to open a further new free school (currently known as North Twyford CofE High School) in the Borough of Ealing due to open in 2019.
