What Is Truckee Donner Public Utility District?

The TDPUD is a non-profit, publicly owned utility agency overseen by a locally elected Board of Directors. Since 1927, the TDPUD has been providing the greater Truckee area with reliable and high quality water and electric services while guiding the community to conserve resources. The goal of the TDPUD Electric Department is to provide low-cost, reliable, and sustainable electricity services to our customers. The Electric Department supplies energy to our residential and business customers, optimizes the District's renewable portfolio standard, and manages the annual tree-trimming program. The goal of the TDPUD Water Department is to provide low-cost, reliable, and sustainable water services to our customers. The Water Department is responsible for monitoring water supply and quality, implementing the customer water meter project, and ensuring safe and reliable operation of the water system for customer use and fire safety. The TDPUD is committed to conducting the District's business in an open and transparent manner while collaborating with our customers, local agencies, and stakeholders to serve the needs of our customers.
