Tidewater Orthopaedics is proud to uphold a long-standing tradition of providing superior orthopaedic care, treating thousands of patients per year from Hampton, Williamsburg, Newport News, and other nearby areas in Virginia since our founding in the 1970s. As the only subspecialty orthopaedic practice on the Peninsula, we're well known throughout the community as “The Specialist Group.” Our excellent reputation is based, in part, on the high level of specialization of our doctors, all of whom are board-certified (American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery), fellowship-trained (American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons) orthopaedic surgeons who have obtained further education and certifications in their respective areas of specialty. Serving as both an orthopaedic center and a sports medicine clinic, Tidewater Orthopaedics specializes in treating a wide variety of injuries and conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, including arthritis, rotator cuff and ACL tears, trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and more. With a goal of treating our patients as conservatively as possible, we offer a full range of nonsurgical options, such as medications, pain management, splinting, and hand and physical therapy provided by our own in-house staff of outstanding therapists. This dedicated team of professionals works closely with our surgeons to collaboratively develop and implement an individualized plan of care for each patient, which is designed to alleviate pain, improve function, and enhance quality of life.
