The Stephan Company Revenue and Competitors

The Stephan Co. is engaged in the manufacture, sale and distribution of hair care and personal care products at both the wholesale and retail level. Its eight wholly owned subsidiaries include Foxy Products, Inc., Old 97 Company, Williamsport Barber and Beauty Corp., Stephan & Co., Scientific Research Products, Inc. of Delaware, Trevor Sorbie of America, Inc., Stephan Distributing, Inc. and Morris Flamingo-Stephan, Inc. The Company's three operating segments are: Professional Hair Care Products and Distribution, Retail Personal Care Products and Manufacturing. The Professional segment generally consists of a customer base of distributors that purchase its hair care products and beauty and barber supplies for sale to salons and barbershops. The customer base for the Retail segment is mass merchandisers, chain drug stores and supermarkets. The Manufacturing segment manufactures products for subsidiaries of the Company, and manufactures private label brands for certain customers.
