Walter R. Fawcett, III, founded the agency in January 1990 as the Fawcett Insurance Agency. Mr. Fawcett remains the President of the organization and is actively involved in the growth and success of the company. The goals of the Plexus Groupe are to assist businesses with their employee benefits, commercial insurance, and retirement planning. In 1996, Fawcett Insurance Agency began doing business as The Plexus Groupe. The name of the corporation was formally changed to The Plexus Groupe Inc. in 2000. At this time, Plexus services over 200 businesses. These clients generate over $200 million in insurance premiums. 2001, in an effort to focus efforts in an underserved life sciences (biotech and medical devices companies) and information technology communities, the Plexus Groupe brought on board Lori Moreno as Vice President of Technology Practice. The Plexus Groupe is also developing a Personal Lines department that will enable us to be a complete insurance service company. The Plexus Groupe is a global broker with clients throughout the United States and abroad. We are licensed in over 40 states, are a licensed Surplus Lines broker and Lloyd\'s of London Correspondent. Plexus is a member of both the state and national association of Professional Independent Insurance Agents, the Buffalo Grove Chamber of Commerce, the Chicago Biotech Association, Chicago Technology Park, and TechPeople Leaders.
