What Is TRU Community Care?

TRU Community Care affirms life at every step of your journey with illness and loss. Our vision is to lead a healthcare transformation by engaging with our communities and offering innovative, meaningful care for those living with illness and loss. \n\nFounded as Boulder Hospice in 1976, TRU Community Care is a Colorado-licensed, Medicare and Medicaid-certified, nonprofit health care organization serving the greater Boulder, Broomfield, Adams, Jefferson, and Weld Counties. With a focus on providing a continuum of care for members of our community living with advanced illness and loss, TRU’s programs include TRU PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), hospice home care, inpatient hospice care (at Longmont United Hospital), palliative care, grief support services, and community education and outreach.\n\nTRU has always been a community effort — owned by the community, supported by the community, and shaped by the community — since its founding in 1976. Our expert, professional staff offers people with advanced illness and their families high quality medical, emotional, and spiritual care at one of the most profound and vulnerable times of life.\n\nIn addition to our high quality clinical services, we are committed to sharing our expertise and resources with individuals and organizations throughout the region. Every year, TRU offers numerous educational workshops, specialized grief support groups, and remembrance events. Visit www.trucare.org for more information.
