Queensland Symphony Orchestra Revenue and Competitors

As an arts leader and great Australian orchestra the QSO plays a pivotal role in Queensland’s arts landscape — educating; mentoring aspiring performers; touring regional centres; broadcasting and performing with state, national and international ballet and opera companies. Each year the QSO performs with the world’s best conductors and soloists as part of its acclaimed concert season, in addition to presenting unique blockbuster events. In 2014 the QSO reached over 1.1 million people with its music. The QSO is passionate about commissioning innovative new programs and Australian works, and investing in collaborations, recording and digital initiatives. In October 2015, QSO announced Alondra de la Parra as Music Director Designate. Ms la Parra will commence in 2017.
