The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is Australia's leading institution for education and training in theatre, film and television. For more than 50 years, NIDA has nurtured some of Australia's and the world's greatest performers, artists and creative professionals. Based in Sydney, NIDA comprises higher education courses, NIDA Open public courses, NIDA Corporate communication and presenting training and NIDA Theatres. NIDA offers Diploma, Bachelor and Masters qualifications across a broad range of performing arts disciplines as varied as acting, directing, cultural leadership, specialist make-up and technical theatre and stage management, among others. NIDA Corporate conducts courses in Sydney and Melbourne, offering practical skills-based training in communication, presentation and leadership for individuals and businesses. Its experiential training is based on NIDA's renowned performing arts techniques and methodology, and offers public and in-house courses, one-to-one coaching, online courses , group workshops, conference seminars and keynote speakers. For over 20 years, NIDA Open has delivered part-time and short courses for children, young people and adults in theatre, TV and film across the country. NIDA Theatres comprises five theatre spaces and other purpose-built rooms/spaces available for external hire.
