Before acquisition by Coller Capital in September 2005, QSA was originally a leading business division within Amersham plc and latterly AEA Technology plc. Our origins date back to the early 1950s and 60s when we were part of the Radiochemical Center in the UK and pioneered the development of original radiation source designs and applications for industry and medicine, which have now become industry standards. Throughout the 1980s we were known as Amersham's Industrial Products business and later in the early 1990s as Amersham's Quality and Safety Assurance Products for Industry business. Our long history in the industry and our association with leading companies, together with AEA Technology's innovation in the delivery of products and solutions to Customers, has resulted in our possessing state of the art product technology and design know-how. Since acquisition in 1988, our facilities have been relocated and we now have the most modern and advanced manufacturing operations, development facilities and product designs for radioactive sealed source manufacturing and isotope processing in the World, with operations in China, Europe and North America.
