What Is Propulsion Controls Engineering?

Propulsion Controls Engineering (PCE) is a full service electro-mechanical ship and industrial repair company founded in 1974. PCE holds an Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) with Naval Sea Systems Command, working as both a prime contractor and subcontractor for government ship repair. We offer a wide array of services including repair of rotating machinery and pumps, electric motors (including motor rewinding) and generators, small and large diesel engines, pipe and structural welding and fabrication, governors and controls systems, hydraulic systems and valves. \r\n\r\nPropulsion Controls Engineering has experienced technicians and skilled tradesmen who work in the Navy, commercial and private yacht repair industry as well as transportation, construction and utilities/infrastructure.\r\n\r\nWe are recognized as an authorized service dealership for Bosch fuel injection systems and as a dealer and authorized marine service center for Cummins, Scania and Yanmar diesel engines, Kohler Generators and Hamilton Jet Drives. \r\n\r\nPCE has a staff of over 300 employees serving three primary geographic areas but routinely travel throughout the United States and around the world providing repair and troubleshooting services. \r\n\r\nWe are members of the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS), Electric Apparatus Service Association (EASA) and the Port of San Diego Ship Repair Association. \r\n\r\nWe have a Quality Management System that meets ABS requirements as well as Naval Sea Systems Command Standard Item 009-04 and we are in the process of completing our ISO 9000:2008 certification.
