What Is Oakwood Research Facility?

Oakwood Research Facility provides the research community with a dedicated staff sharing a common goal of producing the best SPF New Zealand White Rabbits available. Oakwood has entered into a contract breeding agreement with Charles River to assume all customer service responsibilities, sales, marketing, technical and scientific support. Oakwood has two sites in Michigan supporting three separate and independent barriers providing security of continuous production of SPF rabbits for customer confidence. Our rabbits are known for their gentle temperament due to socialization by employees. We offer a wide range of secondary services including tattoos, ear-tags, microchips, blood draws, timed pregnancies and more. Our rabbits are tested monthly and have been pathogen free for over 23 years! Tests include pasteurella, bordetella, encephalitozoon cuniculi, tyzzer's, coccidiosis and other internally related pathogens.
