Norwich Theatre Royal is a regional receiving Theatre dedicated to bringing new art forms and live performances to everyone in the East of England Region. As a registered charity, education and learning are at the heart of what we do, with projects ranging from the Norfolk Schools Project, which over the last 12 years has given over 2,000 9-11 year olds the opportunity to work with leading amateurs, dancers, musicians and singers, in creating their own opera and performing it on the Theatre Royal stage, to workshops with local schools, work experience placements, training for youngsters in Theatre skills and backstage tours for schools. We regularly welcome over 400,000 customer annually with an average of 100 productions arriving on stage here every year. We regularly enjoy award-winning Quality and Popular Comedy Dramas, Touring Musicals, Fairy-tale Ballet's and the region's largest pantomime! Our Development & Marketing Teams work vigorously growing the numbers of arts based projects around the county. We were lucky enough to open our own Learning & Participation Centre Stage TWO built Summer 2016. Our work is encouraged in schools, colleges, universities and local community projects often providing younger participants their first look at live Art. As a registered charity, we are regularly going out and seeking support, in any form, from businesses through corporate and other project sponsorship. Any new support from individuals via ticket donations and friends membership to one-off donations and legacies is vital to keeping the Theatre a thriving arts venue across the East of England.
