Northpower Revenue and Competitors

New Zealand-based Northpower Limited is a significant multi-utility service provider in the transmission and distribution sectors. Northpower employs over 1000 staff, annual revenue of over $300m and has long term contracts with some of New Zealand’s largest electricity sector companies — Transpower, Wellington Electricity and Vector included. Northpower is recognised in the electricity sector as a trusted, innovative and reliable service provider, with a strong ethos of safely delivering on commitments - attributes backed by an innate understanding of network ownership and management. More than 56,000 consumers are connected to Northpower's electricity network - some of which is powered by a 5MW hydro-electric power plant - in the Kaipara and Whangarei Districts in Northland. In 2014, Northpower established New Zealand's first electric vehicle fast charge station and in partnership with the Government, completed the country's first ultra-fast broadband fibre network. Northpower regularly undertakes FIFO projects in the Pacific Islands.
