What Is Modoc County Mental Health Services?

Mission Statement The mission of the Modoc County Medi-Cal Managed Care Mental Health Plan (MC3MHP) is to provide high quality, culturally appropriate, linguistically inclusive mental health care in the least restrictive setting, with the participation of our clients and their support system where suitable. Values The MC3MHP values each beneficiary as its central theme. Their choice and satisfaction are of utmost importance. We are committed to developing and maintaining a program guided by beneficiaries of all ages, which is confidential, culturally competent, and non-discriminatory. The following values are the basis for the process of program improvement in the areas of cultural competency and age diversity. The MC3MHP: Values beneficiaries by providing non-discriminatory, age appropriate, cost effective, quality services by planning and designing services around multicultural needs and hiring staff that are proficient and skilled in service to multicultural populations with timely access to care. Values providers that practice non-discrimination while serving high-risk populations or that specialize in conditions that require costly treatment. Values prevention and early intervention as strategies to promote wellness, avert crises, and maintain each beneficiary within his/her community if possible. Values working with beneficiaries’ personally desired outcome(s) in the provision of care. Positive outcomes will only be achieved in partnership with families/caregivers, community based programs, private organizations, public agencies, and advisory groups. Values family, recognizing their role as a primary support system and strives to involve them in the service planning process as indicated. Values the beneficiary’s right to remain in the least restrictive setting with the most appropriate level of care through treatment and discharge planning using community linkages.
