Mayday Manufacturing Company Revenue and Competitors

Mayday is celebrating its 37th year in business. Our founder, Jim Nelson, began with an order from LTV for spacers that were needed on an emergency response basis to support waiting assemblies. That experience suggested that there were other opportunities for fast response parts. If a customer had a problem they could call Mayday (the international distress signal) and get their problem resolved. To this day we still have a significant number of customers who depend on us when in a bind, and Mayday responds to their emergency needs. From that humble beginning in 1966 until the early 70's, Mayday concentrated on low-value screw machine parts, and produced a lot of NAS, MS, and BACB standards for Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, and others. As the 70's unfolded, a transition was underway to tackle more complex parts, and the mix and types of machines utilized to support that strategy was changing as well.
