What Is MJMK Restaurants?
MJMK was founded by Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes in order to pursue their joint passions - initially for music, and then for food and drink. At MJMK, we share these passions. We love venturing out to discover incredible cooking – bringing the produce we love to the London market and working with exceptional talent.\n\nIn 2018, we launched the first Casa do Frango in London Bridge. Taking inspiration from Marco’s southern Portuguese upbringing, Casa do Frango celebrates the spirit of Southern Portugal. This was followed by Casa do Frango Shoreditch, in 2019, and Casa do Frango Piccadilly on Heddon Street in 2022. \n\nAfter nearly 3 years of development with Mexican Chef Patron, Santiago Lastra, we opened KOL restaurant in Marylebone in 2020, followed by KOL Mezcaleria in May 2021. We’re proud that KOL has been recognised internationally as one of London’s best restaurants, with Santiago Lastra winning GQ Chef of the Year 2021, and KOL winning La Liste Best New Restaurant, Europe. KOL achieved a Michelin Star in February 2022, which it retained in 2023.\n\nIn March 2022 we opened Lisboeta on Charlotte Street in partnership with globally renowned Portuguese Chef, Nuno Mendes. Lisboeta is Nuno's love letter to Lisbon, the city he calls home.\n\nThe next 12 months will see further expansion as we open a fourth Casa do Frango in Victoria, alongside new concepts that continue to celebrate different cultures, heritage and great food and drink. Each concept is inspired either by Jake and Marco’s heritage or by those of the chef partners we work with. \n\nOur team is shaped by best-in-class individuals who share the same work ethic and passion for delivering hospitality that’s memorable for all the right reasons. We’re a social group, not afraid to take risks and most importantly, we are honest and sincere, and we always have each other’s backs. If you’re interested in joining us, we’d love to hear from you.
