What Is Latino Business Action Network?
In 2012, Stanford Graduate School of Business Professor, Emeritus, Jerry I. Porras and a group of Latino MBA Alumni formed the Latino Business Action Network (LBAN), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, focused on working to make America stronger by empowering Latino entrepreneurs to grow large businesses through entrepreneurship research, education, and networking. Mission: To strengthen the United States by improving the lives of Latinos by empowering leaders to grow substantial firms that create jobs, develop leaders and spawn a new generation of companies. Goal: To double the number of $10+ million, $100+ million, $1+ billion Latino owned businesses by 2025. The Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative (SLEI) is a research and education collaboration between Stanford University and LBAN. SLEI is housed within the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. The educational program, SLEI-Ed, is a collaboration between LBAN and GSB Executive Education. The Research component is coordinated by Professor Paul Oyer and the customized online course by Professor Huggy Rao, both of the GSB. SLEI invites you to participate in a short (6-7 minute) survey on your business practices at no cost to you. Your responses will be kept confidential and used for academic research purposes only.
