What Is Housing Opportunities?

Housing Opportunities is a community-sustained nonprofit that resolves and prevents homelessness for adults, children, and seniors in Porter and LaPorte counties. We prevent homelessness by offering foreclosure prevention counseling and coaching clients on the road to self-sufficiency. We resolve homelessness for adults, children, and seniors in our community by offering emergency housing and affordable rentals. Above all, we provide hope to clients experiencing homelessness and its effects. Funded in part by state and federal grants, Housing Opportunities is sustained by community volunteers, local partners, and donors. As our community works together to resolve homelessness where we live, everyone benefits. Housing Opportunities is a HUD-approved and state-certified housing 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves Northwest Indiana.
