Founded in 1979, Hospice of the Valley (HOV) was built upon the belief that there had to be a better way to serve individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illnesses. Over the years, Hospice of the Valley has grown from an all volunteer grass-roots organization to an organization with interdisciplinary team members consisting of physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice aides, and grief counselors who are experts in palliative and hospice care, and over 140 trained volunteers. Serving over 30,000 clients in 30 years, Hospice of the Valley is known for its executive leadership and is among the top thought leaders for hospice care in the country.
