The launch of Forico Pty Limited signals the birth of a new enterprise which is Tasmania's largest private forest management company. Forico was established by New Forests to manage a plantation estate and forestry business purchased by a New Forests investment fund. The purchase included Tasmanian forestry assets previously owned and managed by Gunns Limited. Forico manages Tasmania's largest private hardwood plantation estate and uses advanced tree breeding for improved plantation and wood fibre quality.
