What Is Emporium Hotels?

The iconic Emporium Hotel is Australia's most awarded boutique luxury hotel. It was the very first of its kind in Brisbane, not only setting a new benchmark in luxury accommodation but, as part of the Emporium mixed-use precinct, was the major catalyst for the urban renewal and revival of Fortitude Valley and surrounds. The Hotel has gained an enviable reputation nationally and internationally and was most recently named Australia's Leading Boutique Hotel at the World Travel Awards for the second consecutive year (2015, 2016). Emporium was the sole vision of two dedicated property and design-driven Queenslanders, Anthony and Francine John of the Anthony John Group. Together they have conceived, designed, created and delivered a hotel without equal in Queensland. The design architecture of the hotel was driven by owner, Francine John who created the overall concept, inspired by the frangipani flower. The majority of the design features were sourced locally by Queensland based artists and suppliers. A 2015 inductee into the Queensland Tourism Hall of Fame, Emporium holds a special place in the hearts of many people who have experienced its exquisite service, unique and stylish design and comfort. In 2017 Emporium Hotel will celebrate a significant milestone being 10 years since it first opened its doors. This comes at a poignant time as we prepare to open the doors to our new flagship Emporium Hotel South Bank in 2018. Located in Anthony John Group's $600 mixed use development Southpoint, in Queensland's premier cultural lifestyle and cultural precinct South Bank, the new Emporium is set to build on what has been created in Fortitude Valley, raising the bar for exquisite stays even higher.
