What Is Conard Corporation?

Conard is a custom job shop specializing in photo chemical machining and nickel electroforming of precision metal components. AS9100/ISO 9001 and ITAR registered American manufacturer founded in 1965. Specializing in aerospace, wireless communications, semiconductors and electronics packaging and a variety of industrial, scientific and medical applications. Photochemical machining is also called photo etching. It is a metal fabricating process that competes successfully with stamping, laser and wire EDM. Etching also offers exceptional capabilities in wide variety of alloys and metal thicknesses from .0005" to .080" with dimensional accuracy of +/-15% of metal thickness. We produce parts from .020" diameter to 24" x 60". Etching is particularly capable in producing filters, screens, grids and meshes for aerospace industrial, scientific, medical and electronic applications. Minimum holes sizes are 115% of metal thickness; on minimum centers of hole diameter plus metal thickness. Ratio etching can produce conical holes. Conard is known for its industry-leading expertise in etching aluminum, which is applied to a large number of aerospace applications. Phototools typically cost less than $300 and can be produced in a day. Nickel electroforming is an additive manufacturing process that produces solid metal parts by electrolytically "growing" them from a nickel sulfamate solution. Electroforming can produce holes and features as small as 20-25 microns with conventional photolithography. This process finds applications in MEMS, miocrofluidics and photonics, to name a few. Conard is a privately held Connecticut corporation with 50 years of continuous operation in Glastonbury, CT. We enjoy many long-term customer relationships, a number measured in decades. We work with thousands of companies each year, including more than a dozen of the top 100 manufacturers in the country. Reach us at 860-659-0591 or www,conardcorp.com. Sales@conardcorp.com
