A 3.3% increase in population equates to 2,150 new people who live, learn and work in the Greater Bunbury Urban Area. Most new locals have settled in suburbs such as Dalyellup, Eaton and Australind, with Dalyellup recording a population increase of 7% (source: ABS). The city's centre attracted 654 new residents to bring the population to more than 34,000 people. Bunbury is now ranked as the 18th largest regional city in Australia which is reflected in its continually growing economy. Educational needs are catered for by a range of public and private schools.
