What Is Capitol Electric Construction Company?

Capitol Electric is San Francisco based union electrical contracting company. It was incorporated in California in 1978. Capitol Electric is a member of the San Francisco Electrical Contracting Association (SFECA) and the National Electrical Contracting Association (NECA). Capitol Electric's primary business is commercial electrical work. This consists of interior electrical wiring of office spaces and retail spaces in commercial buildings such as high rises. Such work is performed for building landlords, and for their tenants. Other types of electrical work performed consists of work in hospitals, churches, theaters, together with industrial work, and marine work. Initially, Capitol Electric also performed telephone, data, security cable work, but in 1994 partnered with Capitol Communications, which is now a sister company, and which does this type of low voltage work. Some of Capitol Electric's customers that date back to its beginning include Shorenstein, Hines, IBM, Metropolitan Life, Union Bank of California, Matson Navigation, San Francisco Opera, the Embarcadero Center, and the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Capitol Electric has, over the years, worked in most of the high rises in the financial district of San Francisco.
