What Is California Health Sciences University?

At California Health Sciences University (CHSU), our mission is to improve the health care outcomes of people living in the Central Valley by educating the next generation of highly trained and compassionate health care professionals right here in our region.\n\nFounded in 2012, California Health Sciences University is the first university of its kind in the Central Valley with a pharmacy and medical school. The University currently offers a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) program. The university plans to open up to 8 additional health sciences colleges in the coming years.\n\nCHSU offers a local option for those seeking medical education, helping remedy the shortage of health care services offered in the Valley. Located in Clovis, in California's diverse and agriculturally rich Central Valley, students and faculty can enjoy the unique combination of high quality of life, affordable cost of living and plentiful career opportunities the Valley provides.\n\nWith state-of-the-art facilities, students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through interactive simulation and cutting-edge technology. The CHSU Simulation Center, located within our medical school building on Alluvial, boasts 20,000 square feet of lab space, simulating the hospital environment and out-patient doctor’s offices. Students also have access to our on-campus Teaching Kitchen to further develop their knowledge in nutrition and health. CHSU utilizes the Microsoft HoloLens technology for virtual anatomy.\n\nCalifornia Health Sciences University is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
