What Is British Asian Trust?

The British Asian Trust supports the development of a South Asia that maximises the potential of its people, and that is free from inequality and injustice. We were founded in 2007 by HRH The Prince of Wales and a group of visionary British Asian business leaders. We back sustainable solutions to the challenges of poverty and injustice, and enable people to truly unlock their potential. Our work has already touched more than three million lives in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. We also help unlock philanthropic potential. Through us, our supporters turn their values and their compassion into action so that together we transform lives. Looking ahead, we are developing beyond traditional grant-giving towards innovations such as impact investment and social enterprises. We succeed by convening all those who want to transcend traditional boundaries of countries and cultures to help support a South Asia that is better for all.
