What Is Black Women Business Network?

We believe women participation in entrepreneurial activities and the promotion of their career advancement allow them not only to support their family with additional income but also plays a significant role in the economic development and social well-being of the Canadian society. Our Programs are 1-The BLACK WOMEN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER (BWEDC) which provides unique programs and services to black women at all stages of business through advising, financing, mentoring, and network development. Some programs under the BWEDC are ENTREPRENEURSHIP Start Up: The week-long start-up camp aims to support self-driven and innovative black women entrepreneurs by enabling them to turn their idea into an entrepreneurial enterprise. Business Growth: For existing companies, the Growth Workshop will help equip your existing company for growth and success. SKILLING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT We offer a variety of training opportunities and events that address the needs of women at different stages of their careers, both at the entrepreneurial and professional levels. ACCESS TO FUNDING Extensive training and workshops on how to access funding successfully and linkages to funding programs BUSINESS CERTIFICATION The BWEDC will work with black led women led companies to help you prepare for WBE certification 2-LEADERSHIP The Leadership Development Program helps female black led organizations understand what it takes to be a leader. With popular programs including john Maxwell, Franklin Covey among others, we help instill a culture of leadership, improve your leadership character traits, develop your personal capabilities, interpersonal skills 3-YOUTH The Youth Development Program was designed to meet the needs of young black girls who are growing in a complex multicultural world where barriers to personal and professional growth are still significant and impede their growth
