What Is Beit Berl College?

Beit Berl College is Israel's leading college of education and the arts, training Israeli secular public school teachers, and spearheading new developments in arts, education and society. We see education as a vehicle for social mobility, equality and justice for all sectors of Israeli society. Beit Berl College was founded in 1949, and today is one of the largest colleges in Israel, with almost 9,000 students and 600 professors, lecturers, and expert practitioners. Beit Berl was the first college of education to be recognized for academic excellence and to gain the same academic independence as Israelᅢᄁ¬ツᆲ¬トᄁs universities. We boast a multicultural campus with a diverse mixture of students - young and old, Jewish and Arab, secular and religious, local and international. Students study towards Bachelors and Masters Degrees within three faculties: Education, Arts, and Society & Culture. Our campus is located at the meeting point between one of Israel's high-tech centers (Kfar Saba and Raᅢᄁ¬ツᆲ¬トᄁanana) and the Triangle region of Israelᅢᄁ¬ツᆲ¬トᄁs Arab towns (Tira, Taibeh, and the surrounding area). This intersectional location allows Beit Berl to be a living laboratory for building a shared society. Beit Berlᅢᄁ¬ツᆲ¬トᄁs graduates hold prominent positions in Israeli national and local government, educational institutions, private and non-profit sectors, and the global arts community. Research conducted by academic staff is published extensively in leading international academic journals, has garnered prestigious grants, and is presented and discussed at numerous academic conferences.
