Our aim is to expand rapidly to provide other modern utility services, such as cooking, internet access and water. At the heart of BBOXX is our pioneering management platform, called BBOXX Pulse, which continuously collects data and insights, enabling us to provide our services to previously unreachable populations. BBOXX has installed more than 150,000 solar home systems, with a strong presence in Rwanda, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Togo. BBOXX have over 600 employees across 9 global offices Rwanda, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Togo, with its head office in the UK and its manufacturing operations based in China. Today, nearly 1,000,000 underserved people benefit from our clean, reliable and affordable electricity. BBOXX directly contribute to 6 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a sizeable impact on reducing inequalities. With a strong presence globally in 12 countries in Africa and Asia, BBOXX is scaling rapidly by forging strategic partnerships with investors, governments, telecommunication firms and energy majors. The scale of the challenge is huge. 1.1 billion people globally live without access to electricity. This is also the size of the opportunity. But the provision of electricity is the entry point as it creates demand in other areas such as gas, water, internet, finance, white goods a demand which the company also seeks to meet.
