What Is Abode Communities?

At Abode Communities, our mission is to create service-enhanced affordable housing and socially beneficial community facilities that promote the social, economic and physical transformation of underserved communities. \n\nThe organization's impact is realized through a fully integrated and multi-disciplinary approach to community development. Its professional services – real estate, architecture and property management – ensure the organization’s high-quality standard is brought to each and every affordable residential community we place in service. \n\nGoing above and beyond, Abode Communities’ mission-critical on-site resident (social) services program, Beyond Homes, ensures that underserved children and families, seniors, and people with special needs (formerly homeless, at-risk homeless, survivors of domestic violence, mentally/physically disabled, and youth emancipated from the foster care system) can remain stable in their housing and improve their livelihoods as they work toward long term self-sufficiency. \n\nToday, Abode Communities owns and operates 35 affordable residential communities serving nearly 6,200 extremely low-, very low- and low-income people. Similarly, the organization's complimentary Beyond Homes resident (social) services program is offered at 18 of these locations, serving more than 4,100 low-income people.
