4D Soft Revenue and Competitors

In the late 1980s, three IT professionals – and good friends by the way – saw much more potential in this development than their employers at the time, and, at the dawn of the new regime, founded 4D Soft Limited . They began to employ methods to develop systems that were later referred to as BPR (Business Process Reengineering) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), respectively. In 2003, the company launched its software engineering business. Initially, we helped to improve the testing strategy and methodology for large Hungarian companies. From 2005 till now 4D Soft has participated in several major R&D projects. These are both Hungarian-EU founded projects and EU IST projects with well-known partners included CERN, FAO, IEI and many more. A significant proportion of our revenue is invested in research and development to allow us to continue to create products and introduce services that are unique in the world market. Recently agile testing has become an important service in our portfolio, as this methodology is rapidly gaining ground in the IT world. We developed new methods, and metrics to improve the efficiency of agile testing in the practice. In the 1st quarter of 2013 three new products will be released: 4D Jatest a continuous testing tool to reveal failures immediately, 4D Ariadne a static code tracker for code comprehension, and 4D Jidebug, a dependence debugger to find faults much easier.
