Electronic Healthcare Systems was created in 1980 to provide contract programming services. In 1982, a Pittsburgh area Qantel Dealer contracted Electronic Healthcare Systems to install a Qantel Materials Management System, purchased by a local hospital. In the following years, Electronic Healthcare Systems developed Materials Management software for use specifically in the healthcare industry.
