We have much to offer and are always delighted to welcome new families to our educational community. The Meadows is Nevada's only pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade college preparatory school which is non-religious and nonprofit. It is also the only school in the state which places 100 percent of its graduates in four-year accredited colleges and universities. With a strong, developmentally integrated academic curriculum and a complete extracurricular program, the School has been enjoying successes which are reflective of its able and ambitious student body and its most highly qualified, professional, involved, and caring faculty. Performing and fine arts, debate, athletics, community service, and school social activities supplement rigorous and challenging intellectual pursuits. Opened in 1984 to be a model of the very reputable, traditional and classic east coast educational "college prep" schools of the 1940's, 1950's, and 1960's, The Meadows has filled a need in the Las Vegas educational arena that sets it apart from other programs and schools. The School has earned a reputation for excellence and has become recognized not only in the United States but abroad as well. Serving academically able and ambitious students, The Meadows is committed to enrolling a diverse family who share daily life in a healthy, integrated, multi-racial, multi-cultural, and socio-economically mixed experience. Interpersonal and close relationships among and between students and faculty are fostered to create a tightly knit, happy experience. The overriding mission of The Meadows School is to develop in its students a love of and respect for learning while at the same time inspiring them to seek knowledge independently and preparing them for higher academic pursuits. The high standards promoted and followed at the School recognize and attend to the various needs of its students as they find optimum intellectual, emotional, physical, and social challenge and development. Underlying the mission is the fundamental concept that education carries with it an obligation to self, family, and community, and that each student should become a compassionate and productive member of society. Exposure to multiple experiences remains a primary focus. Each student is afforded liberal opportunity to participate in a full range of activities in an exceptionally nurturing, intentionally small, learning environment. The Meadows maintains highest academic, moral, and social standards which are sustained in the School's commitment to excellence in all aspects of student and campus life. Our entire School family is located on a fence-enclosed, forty (40) acre campus in the northwest Summerlin community of Las Vegas.
