The Meadows is Nevada's only pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade college preparatory school which is non-religious and nonprofit. It is also the only school in the state which places 100 percent of its graduates in four-year accredited colleges and universities. With a strong, developmentally integrated academic curriculum and a complete extracurricular program, the School has been enjoying successes which are reflective of its able and ambitious student body and its most highly qualified, professional, involved, and caring faculty. Performing and fine arts, debate, athletics, community service, and school social activities supplement rigorous and challenging intellectual pursuits. Opened in 1984 to be a model of the very reputable, traditional and classic east coast educational "college prep" schools of the 1940's, 1950's, and 1960's, The Meadows has filled a need in the Las Vegas educational arena that sets it apart from other programs and schools. The School has earned a reputation for excellence and has become recognized not only in the United States but abroad as well. Serving academically able and ambitious students, The Meadows is committed to enrolling a diverse family who share daily life in a healthy, integrated, multi-racial, multi-cultural, and socio-economically mixed experience. Interpersonal and close relationships among and between students and faculty are fostered to create a tightly knit, happy experience. The overriding mission of The Meadows School is to develop in its students a love of and respect for learning while at the same time inspiring them to seek knowledge independently and preparing them for higher academic pursuits. Our entire School family is located on a fence-enclosed, forty (40) acre campus in the northwest Summerlin community of Las Vegas.
