NACME provides leadership and support for the national effort to increase the representation of successful African American, American Indian, and Latino young women and men in engineering, technology, math- and science-based careers. Since 1974, the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering has worked with America’s leading corporations to sustain and increase the pool of minority students from under-served communities who seek careers in engineering. Over the last 41 years, NACME has spent more than $142 million in scholarship and support services for more than 24,000 African American, Latino, and American Indian young women and men at 160 colleges and universities.
