Ignitia is a high-technology company producing the world's first highly accurate tropical forecast model. Our team of scientists and engineers are experts in their fields, and have created a model that operates at 84% accuracy, compared to the 39% accuracy of global models. Ignitia is a weather producer- not a weather service. Our unique approach is rooted in the use of remote sensing data sets (like satellites), without requiring ground monitoring systems. Predictive artificial intelligence, proprietary algorithms, and uninterrupted 3-D multisource data come together to create a tropical forecast that is twice as accurate as global models. Through our partnernships with telecommunication companies and agricultural organizations, we send farmers daily, monthly and seasonal rain forecasts via SMS. Ignitia is not an app, and a smartphone is not required. Beyond our SMS forecasts, we also produce early warning alerts for severe-weather and multiple types of weather data sets can that allow agricultural companies to reduce risk and streamline sensitive operations. While our current projects are aimed at small-scale farmers, Ignitia can be utilized in a variety of other capacities. Tropical weather forecasts hold value beyond the agricultural sector.
