A rich broadcast history was born in December 1948 when WMC-TV became the first television station in the states of Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi. The commitment that was made in 1948 to serve Mid-South continues today. As the news leader in Memphis and the Mid-South, Action News 5 is the #1 source for breaking news.
