Boston Common Asset Management was formed at year-end 2002, when Geeta Aiyer left her post as President and Senior Portfolio Manager of Walden Asset Management, the social investment division of the United States Trust Company of Boston. She was joined in the new venture by a core team who had been together at Walden Capital since it was an independent entity in the mid-1990s.
