What Is Boston Common Asset Management?

Boston Common Asset Management is a full service, employee-owned social investment firm dedicated to the pursuit of financial return and social change. We offer individual and institutional investors an unrivaled range of customized portfolio management products, designed to meet all of our clients' diverse investment needs under one roof. We complement prudent portfolio management with a unique blend of customized social screening and shareholder advocacy. Boston Common Asset Management was formed at year-end 2002, when Geeta Aiyer left her post as President and Senior Portfolio Manager of Walden Asset Management, the social investment division of the United States Trust Company of Boston. She was joined in the new venture by a core team who had been together at Walden Capital since it was an independent entity in the mid-1990s. Boston Common has benefited from the reputation we established at Walden and from the loyalty of our client base; we are growing a vibrant, new business on this foundation. Our team is experienced, cohesive, and well-rounded. To learn more about our employees, see our staff biographies.
