Through this commitment, we pioneered our Fair Market Pricingâ„¢ (FMP) methodology which incorporates geographic and provider specific benchmarks to consistently reduce bills to a true a defensible “Fair Market Priceâ€. Our Fair Market Pricingâ„¢ process is a more robust version of what has come to be known in the industry as Reference Based Pricing. Simply put, FMP is the most cost effective reimbursement method available today. We use the provider's own cost and profitability factors, sourced from various data points, to determine and communicate pricing. These sources include actual reimbursement data and facility cost data to assure that the recommended payment is a “Fair Market Priceâ€, providing a good value for the payer and a reasonable profit for the provider, a sustainable relationship.
