I-kota is a relationship based general contractor, specializing in the construction of multi-family affordable housing. I-kota has a competitive advantage in our ability to recruit high level talent. The work ethic of this company has origins deeply rooted in the agricultural heartland. Why do we recruit “small town†and “farm raised†individuals? Speaking from our own experiences, when you have a break down on a piece of equipment in a field in an extremely rural area, you are frequently “up a creek without a paddleâ€. We feel this mentality, ingrained in an individual, ties together a “can do attitude†with a true engineer’s mentality of problem solving, sprinkled in with deep roots of community. Although many of the early employees of I-kota were rural based, we have learned to identify these qualities within people raised in any area of the world.
