Northwest Pipe Company manufactures welded steel pipe in two business segments, water transmission and tubular. The Company's water transmission segment manufactures and markets large-diameter, high-pressure steel pipe used primarily for water transmission. Water transmission products are custom manufactured in accordance with project specifications and are used primarily for high-pressure water transmission pipelines in the United States and Canada. The Company's tubular products segment manufactures and markets smaller-diameter, electric-resistance-welded steel pipe for use in a wide range of construction, agricultural, energy and industrial applications. In addition, the Company produces propane tanks from its manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico.
