United Engines, through Detroit Diesel's acquisition of Allison, is also a charter distributor for what is now the Allison Division of General Motors Corporation. These two companies and their associated product lines form the core of our diversified business. Detroit Diesel engines and Allison transmissions are used in a myriad of industrial, construction, and automotive applications. This wide diversity of application, combined with United's commitment to quality, and total customer satisfaction has enabled it to remain strong even through severe down cycles in selected industries which it serves.
