CGTN America is the U.S. production arm of China Global Television Network, or CGTN. With the launch of China CGTN on December 31, 2016, a new international satellite news channel entered the global news market. CGTN consists of six channels in five languages, including a 24-hour English-language news service and a documentary channel CGTN is headquartered in Beijing, China. Additional reporting hubs are open in Washington, D.C. (“CGTN America”) and Nairobi, Africa (“CGTN Africa”). A European production center will open in London's Chiswick Park in 2019. CGTN’s mission is to create quality content in English that educates, informs and inspires.
